The WHA oversees 78 public housing units—55 for elderly/disabled residents and 23 for families—ensuring safe, affordable housing for our community. NOTICE: Hydrant Flushing Schedule The Watertown Water Utility Department will begin its routine hydrant flushing on Monday, May 5, starting from 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Two crews will be working in different areas: One will begin on Main Street (between 1st Street and 8th Street) The other will start on Hospital Drive Flushing will continue Tuesday through Friday (May 6–9) and again the week of May 12–16, each day from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Please note: Hydrants located on streets currently under construction will not be flushed at this time. Important Notice for Residents: To avoid discolored water or potential laundry stains caused by sediment stirred up during flushing, residents are advised to: Avoid using water during flushing hours Refrain from doing laundry until after 4:00 p.m. on flushing days Check water clarity before use For more information, please visit the City of Watertown's website at www.watertownwi.gov. The Watertown Health Department will be closed on Monday, May 5th for an all-staff training. They'll open again on Tuesday morning!

Things are rolling right along at the new fire station! Resinous flooring and elevator installation continued, HVAC balancing was completed, concrete was poured at the front entrance, and building signage installation is underway. 👷‍♂️🏗️ Looking ahead, the next two weeks will be busy as crews wrap up mechanical, electrical, and plumbing finishes, complete elevator work, pave asphalt, install the flagpole 🇺🇸, finish ceiling tiles, and test the overhead doors. Construction cleaning will begin, and punch lists will be underway! We’re getting closer to the finish line — thank you for your continued support!
