The City of Watertown DPW – Street Division will be replacing a section of heaved concrete in the westbound lane of Western Avenue between S. Ninth and S. Tenth Street on Monday, July 21, 2025.

A detour will be placed at 6:30 a.m. as follows: westbound traffic on Western Avenue will take S. Tenth Street to the south, then Clyman Street to the west, S. Ninth Street to the north, back to Western Avenue. Work is expected to be done in one day with the detour being removed on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, to allow time for the concrete to be cured. This work is weather permitting.

🚧 Main Street Work Alert – July 7–18 🚧

The City of Watertown is asking residents, drivers, and bicyclists to use extra caution along Main Street between S. Church and N. Ninth Street the week of July 7, 2025.

Crews from Green Bay Pipe and TV will be cleaning and televising the storm sewer, causing rolling lane closures and restricted parking as they move along the corridor. Flaggers, signs, and cones will guide you safely through the work zone.

📅 Work is expected to wrap up by July 18.

ℹ️ The information gathered will help the Wisconsin DOT plan for the Main Street Reconstruction project, scheduled for 2028.

Thank you for your patience and attention as this important prep work is completed!
