Mayor Robert Stocks continued his Industry & Innovation Tour in partnership with the Watertown Area Chamber of Commerce with a visit to Gingerbread Preschool & Child Care Center's second campus "Gingerbread Too." Located at 672 Johnson Street in The Collective building, this added location is helping meet the growing demand for childcare in Watertown and providing families with another convenient option for high-quality early childhood education. Its original location remains at 120 Kuckkan Lane.
The organization serves children from 6 weeks to 13 years old, with programs for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-aged children, including 4K wrap-around care. It emphasizes a warm, inclusive, and play-based learning environment with a focus on social, emotional, and cognitive development through activities like art, music, literacy, and outdoor play.
During the tour, Mayor Stocks met with leadership and staff to discuss the important role childcare plays in supporting Watertown's economy. Reliable, high-quality childcare is essential not only for children and families, but also for local employers who depend on a stable workforce.

Despite these challenges, Gingerbread remains dedicated to investing in its staff and maintaining a welcoming environment.
