Mayor Robert Stocks recently visited Watertown Regional Medical Center as part of the Industry and Innovation Tours conducted in partnership with the Watertown Area Chamber of Commerce.

During the visit, Mayor Stocks toured the Women’s Health Center, blood laboratory, Emergency Department, and catheterization areas, gaining a firsthand look at the hospital’s investments in advanced technology, modern care environments, and patient-centered healthcare.

The mayor highlighted the facility’s welcoming atmosphere and thoughtful design, noting that many patient spaces resemble comfortable living areas intended to create a calming and tranquil experience for patients and families.

“What stood out throughout the tour was the combination of innovation and compassion,” said Stocks. “From state-of-the-art technology to the warm and enthusiastic staff, Watertown Regional Medical Center is creating an environment focused on healing, comfort, and exceptional care.”

Hospital leaders shared how the facility continues to invest in advanced clinical programming, emergency services, women’s health, and specialty care while maintaining a strong commitment to personalized patient experiences. The medical center has served Dodge and Jefferson counties for more than 115 years and has earned recognition for patient safety and patient experience.

Mayor Stocks praised the organization’s commitment to keeping high-quality healthcare close to home.

“Watertown is fortunate to have a healthcare institution that continues to grow, innovate, and invest in both technology and people,” Stocks said. “The dedication of the staff and the high standards of care are evident in every part of the facility.”

The Industry and Innovation Tours are designed to strengthen connections between community leadership and the businesses and institutions helping shape the future of Watertown.
