Watertown, Wis. (June 2, 2026) – Beginning Thursday, June 4th, the City’s contracted Seal Coating contractor, Scott Construction will be performing chip sealing work on the following streets:

It is expected that Scott Construction will complete chip sealing work by Monday, June 8th, weather permitting. Streets will be closed to “Thru Traffic” during and shortly after the chip sealing operations for the safety of the work crew. No Parking will be allowed on the streets to be seal coated during chip sealing operations.
During chip sealing operations, flaggers may be present on-site to guide “Resident Traffic” through the construction zone area as the contractor’s trucks and equipment will be entering and leaving the work zone.
There will be loose chips remaining on the streets for 5 to 7 days, after which the contractor will sweep up the majority of the loose chips.
The City of Watertown urges motorists to “Give ‘em a Brake” by slowing down and driving with extra caution through the construction zone.
