The City of Watertown, in partnership with the Watertown Area Chamber of Commerce, continued its Industry and Innovation Tours with a recent visit to The Marquardt, a premier senior living community and a valued provider of assisted living and long-term care services in Watertown.
Mayor Stocks, along with City staff, toured The Marquardt campus to learn more about its range of services, workforce needs, and ongoing efforts to serve the region’s aging population. The visit is part of an ongoing initiative designed to strengthen relationships with key employers and service providers, support workforce development, and ensure the City remains responsive to community needs.
“The Marquardt is an essential part of Watertown’s healthcare and senior services landscape,” said Mayor Stocks. “This visit provided an important opportunity to better understand how we can support organizations that care for our residents and contribute meaningfully to our local economy.”
During the visit, leadership from The Marquardt shared insights into their continuum of care model, which includes independent living, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing services. Conversations also focused on workforce recruitment and retention, the increasing demand for senior housing options, and opportunities for collaboration with local and regional partners.
The Industry and Innovation Tour is a joint effort between the City and the Chamber to highlight a diverse range of employers, including healthcare, manufacturing, and service providers—while identifying opportunities to support business retention, workforce development, and community growth.
The City of Watertown extends its appreciation to The Marquardt for hosting the tour and for its continued dedication to serving Watertown residents
