The City of Watertown, as part of its Industry and Innovation Tours collaboration with the Watertown Area Chamber of Commerce, recently visited MetalTek to deepen its understanding of the company’s operations and explore opportunities for continued partnership.
MetalTek, a global leader in high-performance metal components, plays a vital role in Watertown’s manufacturing sector. During the visit, Mayor Stocks toured the facility and engaged with company leadership on topics including production capabilities, workforce challenges, and future investment plans.
The conversation highlighted the importance of maintaining a skilled workforce pipeline and ensuring infrastructure and policy support align with industry needs.
“Manufacturers like MetalTek are essential to Watertown’s economic success,” said Mayor Stocks. “Our goal is to be a proactive partner—helping remove barriers and support growth at every stage.” MetalTek serves mission-critical industries including aerospace and defense, energy and power generation, industrial processing, and transportation—where reliability, performance, and precision matter most.
The Industry and Innovation Tours are a joint effort between the City and the Chamber to highlight a diverse range of employers, including healthcare, manufacturing, and service providers—while identifying opportunities to support business retention, workforce development, and community growth.
The City will continue to prioritize engagement with key employers to ensure Watertown remains competitive and responsive to industry trends.
