The City of Watertown announced its 2026 road construction program, which includes multiple contracts for pavement marking, crack filling, seal coating, micro surfacing, street reconstruction, and bituminous resurfacing. These projects will enhance road safety, extend pavement life, and improve infrastructure across the city.
The work is scheduled to begin in spring 2026, weather permitting. Residents and motorists are encouraged to plan alternate routes during construction and to exercise caution in work zones.

S. Eighth Street – Market Street to E. Main Street
Market Street – S. Fourth Street to S. Eighth Street
Summit Avenue – East Gate Drive, westerly 700’
S. Concord Avenue – Henry Street to E. Main Street
Contract #2-26 – Rout & Crack Filling Contractor: Thunder Road, LLC, Waukesha, WI Locations include:
Spring Street – S. First Street to S. Fourth Street
Dodge Street – S. First Street to S. Third Street
Jefferson Street – S. First Street to S. Third Street
Elm Street – N. Church Street to N. Water Street
Union Street – W. Cady Street to Elm Street
N. Warren Street – W. Cady Street to Margaret Street
Margaret Street – Union Street to N. Warren Street
Sunset Avenue – S. Twelfth Street to Richards Avenue
Octagon Court – Richards Avenue to Termini
Scot Street – Meadow Street to W. Main Street

Contract #3-26 – Seal Coating & Micro Surfacing Contractor: Scott Construction, Lake Delton, WI Seal coat locations match several streets listed in Contract #2-26 (Spring Street, Dodge Street, Jefferson Street, Elm Street, Union Street, N. Warren Street, Margaret Street, Sunset Avenue, Octagon Court, Scot Street, and Windwood Lane), totaling 1.47 miles. Micro surfacing will be applied to:
S. Concord Avenue – Western Avenue to E. Main Street (0.24 miles).
Contract #4-26 – Annual Street & Utility Reconstruction Contractor: Forest Landscaping & Construction, Inc., Lake Mills, WI Locations include:
S. Eighth Street – Market Street to E. Main Street
Market Street – S. Seventh Street to S. Eighth Street
Willman Court – S. Twelfth Street to Termini
S. Fifth Street – Clyman Street to Termini. Total length to be reconstructed: 0.25 miles.
Contract #6-26 – Bituminous Surfacing Contractor: Wolf Paving Co., Hartland, WI Reconstruction streets (matching Contract #4-26): S. Eighth Street, Market Street, Willman Court, and S. Fifth Street. Resurfacing & mill & overlay locations include:
Market Street – S. Fourth Street to S. Seventh Street
Colonial Drive – Welsh Road to N. Vo Tech Drive
Hospital Drive – Memorial Drive to Alwardt Street
Meadowbrook Drive – Alwardt Street to Beacon Drive

Dewey Avenue – E. Main Street to E. Division Street.
