The City of Watertown is notifying residents and motorists of upcoming utility work on Boomer Street, beginning April 15, 2026 (weather dependent). The west-bound lane of Boomer Street between S. Twelfth Street and S. Ninth Street will be closed; a detour for this closure will go into effect April 15, 2026 (weather dependent).
This closure is due to ditch work on the north side of Boomer Street. This work is being completed as part of a Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) managed project and is partially funded with federal grant dollars. This work is anticipated to be completed in approximately 1-2 weeks.
Additional Information:
Only west-bound lane on Boomer Street between S. Twelfth Street and S. Ninth Street will be closed.
The west-bound lane of Boomer Street between Church Street and S. Ninth Street will remain open.
The east-bound lane of Boomer Street will remain open during this ditch work.
Motorists are encouraged to use caution when traveling near the work zone and consider alternate routes when possible. The City appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation in this matter.
