UPDATE: Due to delayed paving start, East Milwaukee Street will remain closed until tomorrow morning, October 29th.
The City of Watertown DPW - Street Division will be removing blacktop as part of a pavement repair on East Milwaukee Street on the west approach of the bridge. Work is planned to start on Tuesday, October 28th, 2025, at 6:00 a.m. East Milwaukee Street will be closed from South Church Street to South First Street. Southbound traffic on South Church Street is expected to take Stimpson Street to River Drive. Northbound traffic on South Church Street may take Main Street to First Street Cross traffic on South Washington Street and East Milwaukee Street, as well as South Water and East Milwaukee will be allowed. Work should be completed during the morning hours of October 28th with expectations to reopen the street in the afternoon that day. Work is weather and paving contractor permitting.
