Watertown, Wis. (August 25, 2025) – The City of Watertown is notifying residents and boaters that the existing No Wake Advisory for the city’s Upper and Lower Dams will no longer be in effect as of this release.

The No Wake Advisory is put into effect when the water levels within the city rise substantially, meaning that boaters must operate at the slowest possible speed necessary to maintain control and headway. This measure is critical to minimize wave action that could exacerbate flooding, erosion, and damage to waterfront properties.

Effective immediately, all boaters may return to their usual activities. The City of Watertown is actively monitoring the situation and will provide updates as conditions change.
