City staff will complete private stormwater BMP inspections in July 2025. Stormwater BMPs, or Best Management Practices, include stormwater ponds, biofilters, permeable pavement systems, and more. Stormwater BMPs are designed, constructed and maintained to minimize flooding and reduce pollutants flowing downstream to local ponds, wetlands, creeks and the Rock River.
City staff anticipate having the in-field inspections completed by the end of July. Inspection reports are typically shared with stormwater BMP owners after that. Maintenance and repairs are required to be completed per the BMP inspection reports.
The City of Watertown thanks you for your understanding and patience in these matters. Questions about nearby stormwater ponds or other BMPs can be directed to the Engineering Division at 920-262-4060.
