Watertown, Wis. (June 12, 2025) – Beginning on Monday, June 16th, construction will begin of the new ADA Concrete Ramp Structure to be located in the Plaza and S. First Street Parking Lot. At this time the S. First Street parking lot will be closed to the public. The construction will involve the following steps:
· Site Demolition & Excavation:
o 1 to 2 weeks
· Concrete Footings & Walls:
o Approximately 10 days
· Electrical Rough-ins for new lighting
o Approximately 5 days
· Masonry & Precast wall tops
o Approximately 3 days
· Backfill walls & grade ramp
o Approximately 1 day
· Concrete flat work
o Approximately 5 days
· Install railings
o Approximately 2 days
· Install light fixtures
o Approximately 5 days
The construction project is funded and managed by the City of Watertown. The contracted General Contractor is MAAS Brothers Construction, Watertown.
