PURPOSE OF THE STORM WATER PERMIT

It is the requirement of the State for the City of Watertown to file a Storm Water
Permit Report
to show the State that we are meeting the requirements according to
the Clean Water Act.  In this
report we indicate the improvements we have made to
our storm water infrastructure as well as explain
the maintenance done to current
system.  We must explain how we inform and educate our residents and
elected
officials on how to continue to improve our storm water discharges.  We report any
violations during
the year and list any changes to our current ordinance.  We also
provide how many leaves and sediment
we collect as well as how much salt we apply
to our city streets during the year. We explain how we sweep
our streets and clean
our storm sewer system also.  This is an annual report, required by the State.
