WTTN Program Guide

WTTN Food Trucks Program

The City is committed to supporting Mobile Food Vending in the community. We want to feature your business and let everyone in the Watertown area know where you are operating!

How to get featured
Step 1: Follow the normal permitting processes explained on our Start Up Page.
Step 2: Determine your preferred locations and commit to a weekly schedule.
Step 3: Email or call the WTTN Food Truck program coordinator to let them know your plans. Schedule requests and locations are accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Step 4: Stay consistent with your schedule and locations and alert the coordinator at least 1 week prior to any changes.

Program Rules
Please follow all location rules and regulations set out by the City of Watertown. Not following the rules may result in removal from the program.

Missing Scheduled Times
You are expected to be at your location for every scheduled time. If you have an emergency, you must notify:

  1. The program coordinator Stephanie Juhl (sjuhl@watertownwi.gov or 920-262-8080), and
  2. Your customers by tagging the City of Watertown, Wisconsin on Facebook or Instagram.

Businesses that miss more than three scheduled times in one year may be subject to removal from that location. They also may be suspended from future program participation.

Towing
If you arrive at your location and see that a vehicle is parked there, please call the Watertown Police Department (920-261-6660). When you call:

  1. Tell them that it is not an emergency,
  2. Provide them with the license plate number of the vehicle, and
  3. Inform the program coordinator of the incident.

Vending without a Permit
Vending without an annual permit is prohibited by the City of Watertown for all mobile food vendors. If you are observed vending without proper documents:

  1. You will be immediately subject to removal,
  2. You will be ineligible to participate in future City of Watertown food truck programs, and
  3. You may be fined by the Watertown Police Department or another City of Watertown authority.

Adding or Dropping Scheduled Times
Food vendors can drop scheduled times without any penalty. This must happen within the deadlines set forth by the City of Watertown. Dropped times then become available for other participants to use throughout the year.

  1. You must contact the program coordinator at least one week prior to dropping a scheduled time. After you drop your site, it will be made available for other food trucks.
  2. You have two weeks from the permit issue date to pick up your site permit at the Building, Safety and Zoning Department in City Hall. You can also coordinate a pickup with the program coordinator.
